Pre-Acupuncture: Preparing for Your Healing
Post-Acupuncture: Aftercare & Recovery
Please rest assured—Mina is highly regarded for her "gentle and painless" technique. We use ultra-fine, sterile, single-use needles that are much thinner than a standard injection needle. Most patients describe the initial sensation as a tiny flick, similar to a mosquito bite.
As the treatment begins, you may experience various soothing sensations such as:
• A feeling of warmth or a cooling flow
• A sense of "Qi" movement (tingling or heavy relaxation)
• Pleasant drowsiness
These are all positive indicators that your body's self-healing mechanisms and "Qi" are being activated. Mina will always tailor her technique to your personal comfort level and sensitivity to ensure a safe and relaxing experience.
Each acupuncture session typically lasts between 50 to 60 minutes.
The number of sessions required depends entirely on your specific condition and health goals:
• Acute Issues: For recent injuries (such as sports strains or sudden sprains), 1 to 2 sessions are often sufficient to see significant improvement.
• Chronic Issues: for long-standing conditions or car accident recovery (ICBC claims), once a week ,a foundation of 4 sessions is generally recommended for lasting results.
During your initial consultation, Mina will conduct a comprehensive assessment and develop a personalized recovery plan tailored to your body's unique needs.
• Yes! As long as your insurance plan covers acupuncture treatments, you can use it at our clinic. We offer Direct Billing services, meaning we can submit the claim directly to your insurance provider so you don't have to worry about the paperwork.
• ICBC Claims: If you have been injured in a car accident, your acupuncture treatments are covered under ICBC. We can process Direct Billing for ICBC as well, allowing you to focus entirely on your recovery without the stress of upfront payments.
